“Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.” ~ Psalm 33:20
A week ago today we began our first women’s HOPE3 Weekend. We had been trying for two years to have a women’s Weekend. In fact, two of the “Seeds” (participants) who attended last week had been ready to attend each of the past two years. But it wasn’t God’s time.
The women who came last week began the Weekend with visible apprehension. Although excited, naturally they felt a little fear of the unknown as they arrived on Thursday evening. By Sunday afternoon, all were assured that they were valued and loved – just as they are. And all accepted the crosses that had been made for, and prayed over, just for them.
“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” ~ Romans 5:5
There were some tears on Sunday at the thought of having to go back to the “real world.” After all, during the Weekend the Seeds had caught a glimpse of the world as God intended it to be. People were accepting, loving, kind, and lived and worked together for the common good. Team members reflected and shared the joy and love that they have in Christ. They were His hands and feet.
We praise God for bringing these women together, in His time, and welcome them into the HOPE3 family. We look forward to watching them grow in their faith as they continue their lifelong journey of knowing and serving our Lord and Savior.
At the same time, we praise God for the many of you who prayed for the Seeds, their sponsors, their families and the team members. We had folks praying all over the country, and we both felt and saw your prayers and your presence many time throughout the Weekend. You were His hands and feet as well! Thank you!
“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” ~ 2 Corinthians 13:14
To God be the glory!
