Ways to “Live It” With HOPE3 Ministries

I learned of the call for HOPE3 in 2010. I began serving the ministry in its infancy, first as its webmaster in 2012. Five years ago today, HOPE3 Ministries received its Certificate of Incorporation. Can you believe it has been that long?! A few months later, I started to volunteer as the director for the communications, marketing and fundraising team. After all, I had some graduate credits in nonprofit studies under my belt. What fun this would be!

I joined the Board of Directors in late 2013 and then was elected board secretary in 2015. I was reelected to the board for a second three-year term in 2016, continuing to serve as secretary and chairing the communications committee. All along, I have created and edited the Ministry’s newsletters. My strength may not lie in keeping up with ministry finances, logistics or recruitment, but I have always enjoyed the creative arts. That is where I was blessed, and that is where I will continue to serve, even when my term on the Board of Directors expires.

My wish for you in 2017, as we celebrate five years of HOPE3’s incorporation, is that you will prayerfully consider your involvement with this ministry. We are flourishing, but there is always a need for new sponsors for future HOPE3 Weekends. We are thriving, but we can always accommodate more participants in our Family Fun and Bible Study programs. We are growing, but we always welcome your thoughts and prayers.

There are a variety of ways in which you can become involved with HOPE3 Ministries. I hope you will prayerfully discern ways to support its mission. Some examples can be found on our website. I will be the first to admit: I was not sure about HOPE3 and what it all meant. But join a Bible Study or Family Fun and you may agree: God is at work in this ministry, and He HOPEs you will be a part of it.

Won’t you join me in the harvest field?

Heidi Fischer; Secretary, Board of Directors
